Bowling Green volleyball announced Monday that a new court would be added to the Stroh Center to begin the 2024 season. Mo and Jon Stansbery were behind the donation and are active fans of BGSU’s volleyball program.
The Stansberys have continued to invest in Falcon volleyball, even being named Volleyball Supporters of the Year in 2017. With this investment, the Falcons will gain a brand new Taraflex court which is the newest technology when it comes to preventing injury and increasing performance. The new court is stated to use high-tech shock absorption which makes impact less intense and features a surface layer that can prevent skin burn and scrapes.
Bowling Green will be among the first in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to use a Taraflex court and will join colleges such as the University of Washington, Louisiana State University (LSU) and the University of Nebraska to feature the new technology.
Mo and Jon Stansbery’s court will debut during the Falcon’s first match of the 2024 season on Aug. 30, during the Hampton Inn Invitational against Chicago State.
