The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has released its Preseason Coaches Poll two days ahead of the start of the 2024 women’s soccer season and Bowling Green finds itself in the middle of the pack, sixth out of 12 teams.
Western Michigan is the projected favorite, receiving eight of 12 first-place votes and six of 12 votes for MAC tournament champion, with Ball State and Ohio in second and third place in the poll.
Kent State and Buffalo would place fourth and fifth, leaving sixth for Bowling Green and giving them the lowest preseason ranking since 2017, when they were predicted to finish last in the MAC East Division.
The Falcons were however one of five teams to receive a tournament championship vote, joining Western Michigan, Ohio, Ball State and Kent State.
