The Bowling Green’s women’s cross-country team began their 2024 season on Friday at Akron’s Tommy Evans Invitational.
Placing 3rd as a team, the Falcons were led by familiar faces in Graduate Student Kailee Perry (2nd overall) and Junior Kylee Cubbison (7th overall) and Junior Regina Rosa 19012 (27th). Sophomore Rachel Withrow followed up with a 37th-place finish and Madison Foster’s 40th-place finish rounded out scoring for the Falcons.
The larger story of the day was the standout performances of several newcomers who ran unattached in the race.
Four freshmen were placed inside the Falcons’ top 5 for the day, with Lexi Panning coming in 4th, Reese Reaman placing 18th overall, Rachel Hoover placing 25th overall, and Amelia Barilla finishing 34th overall.
On Saturday, September 14th, the team will race again at Ball State’s “We Fly Championship Preview” in Muncie, Indiana.
