The Toledo Zoo is inviting all college students for a special evening at the zoo’s U at the Zoo event on Thursday, Oct. 3.
U at the Zoo is an event that is dedicated to university college students to explore the zoo with their friends, take advantage of discounted admission and take a break from classes.
“The Toledo Zoo is committed to being a space for everyone, and we’re especially eager to connect with the young adults attending college in our community,” the zoo’s Director of PR and Communications Jen Brassil said in a press release.
The event will offer free and discounted food, games, entertainment and encounters with animals.
The zoo’s Harvest Fest also runs through the end of October, so students can see the giant animal-shaped pumpkin displays.
No matter your interests, there’s something for everyone.
“U at the Zoo is about more than just a fun night out,” said Brassil. “It’s an opportunity for students to engage with wildlife conservation [and] learn about the species we care for.”
Doors open at 4 p.m. and the first 100 students will receive a free t-shirt. Admission is $20 with a valid student ID.
