At the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, BGSU women’s cross country saw their largest field of competition this year, securing a 16th-place finish
Junior Kylee Cubbison ran another personal record time of 20:49.9, which was good for a 24th-place finish in a race of approximately 400 runners.
Freshman Lexi Panning’s college debut culminated in a strong 50th-place finish, with a time of 21:07.7.
Junior Regina Rose put on a strong performance as well, finishing in 59th place with a split of 21:03.7
The scoring was rounded out by Rachael Withrow’s 21:54.2 (163rd), and Emma Hellwege’s 22:13.2 (212th). Amelia Barilla’s 22:18.4 (227th), Rachael Hoover’s 22:25.1 (235th) and Madison Foster’s 22:30.8 (246th) rounded out the Falcons in the Gold Race.o
The Orange and Brown also had two runners in the open race. Freshman Nora Ritting posted a 24:01.1 finish to claim a spot in the top half of more than 500 runners, and sophomore Clare Valenza’s collegiate race debut resulted in a 26:21.4 time.
The Falcons will wrap up their regular season competition on Friday, Oct. 18 when they return home to the Mel Brodt Cross Country Course for the Falcon Invitational.
