BGSU men’s basketball’s game against Michigan State on Nov. 16 has been selected for national television on the Big Ten Network, the Big Ten and Michigan State announced Wednesday morning. The Falcons and Spartans will tip off at the Breslin Center in East Lansing at 6 p.m.
“We are excited for the opportunity to showcase BGSU basketball and represent our great university in front of a nationwide audience,” BGSU head coach Todd Simon said. “Michigan State is one of the pillars of college basketball so the challenge will be a great experience for our program.”
The game marks the first nationally televised game for Bowling Green this season and the third on the schedule. BG’s games against Akron on Jan. 3 and Toledo on Jan. 24 will air on CBS Sports Network.
The game against the Spartans will be the first nationally televised non-conference contest for the Falcons since battling Notre Dame on the ACC Network on Nov. 22, 2022. Nov. 16 will mark Bowling Green’s first time on the Big Ten Network since facing Ohio State on Nov. 15, 2021.
BGSU and MSU have battled 14 times before, with Michigan State holding the 11-3 all-time advantage in the series. The two teams have not faced off since Dec. 18, 2012.
The last win for the Orange and Brown against the Spartans dates back to Dec. 1, 1990, while you have to go back to Dec. 18, 1989, for BGSU’s last win in East Lansing.
