BGSU hosted the Post-Election Community Conversations event at the Bowen Thompson Student Union on Nov. 6. The event was a way for students to decompress and destress about the election held the day prior.
Free food and crafts were at the event. The BGSU Paws Therapy Dog Team was present with Gordie and Dubh for attendees, and counselors from the BG Counseling Center were also there to support students.
Anna Brown, the Deputy Chief Inclusion Officer at BG, helped organize the event.
“We wanted all our students to know there is a space to be supported,” Brown said.
To continue the post-election conversation, BG is hosting the “Day of Dialogue: Engaging in Democracy” in the BTSU Ballroom from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Counseling Center is also available to BGSU students still anxious and stressed about the aftermath of the election. Find their website here.
