BGSU women’s cross-country team capped off a strong campaign with the program’s highest regional finish in nine years, landing in 11th place out of 32 competing teams. 2015 was the most recent time the Falcons saw this level of success, finishing 9th place.
The Falcons’ success came thanks to a strong showing from a team of seven who are all slated to return next year.
Junior Kylee Cubbison, a second-team All-MAC performer for the last 2 years, led the team with a 6K personal best of 20:34.5, good for a 4th place finish. Fellow junior Regina Rose, a consistent contributor for the Falcons, turned in the next best time for the team, marking her PR in a time of 20:36.2
Three other Falcons turned in the best times of their college careers, including sophomore Rachael Withrow, freshman Reese Reaman, and MAC Freshman of the Year Lexi Panning.
Coach Lou Snelling had nothing but optimism regarding the team’s performance, particularly considering the entire regional lineup is slated to return for the 2025 season.
“I think it should be our best team performance in the last 25 years. That’s there for us.” Snelling said.
