Enjoy eating cookies? Enjoy baking? Want a break from studying for finals? On Dec. 9, the Wood County District Public Library will be hosting a Holiday Cookie Bake Off in their atrium. No fees are involved for taste testers and bakers.
Bakers need to arrive at 6:45 p.m., while tasters should be there at 7 p.m. Bakers are asked to bring two dozen cookies to the event.
Tasters will be given five tickets to vote on their favorite cookie recipe. Once all the votes are in and counted, the top two bakers will receive prizes.
The library will host Hoehner Piano Studio to perform at the event. A special guest from all the way from the North Pole, Mrs. Claus, will also be in attendance.
The library is encouraging friends and family to enjoy a night of cookies and winter spirit.
