As the fall season has come to a close and winter is upon us, softball is well into the offseason as Bowling Green opens its next chapter under first-year head coach Michelle Gardner, as the team announced the 2025 schedule
The Falcons’ season opener this season falls on Feb. 7, as they head to Spartanburg, South Carolina. From Feb. 7 to 9, the Falcons will be in Spartanburg, but the big game to keep an eye on here is that Bowling Green finishes this trip with a game against Mid-American Conference (MAC) rival Akron.
After the opening season in Spartanburg, the Falcons will travel to Oklahoma University. The teams for that tournament have not been announced yet.
Coach Gardner returns to her previous coaching job as the Falcons will head to Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, from Feb. 28 to March 3.
Shortly after South Carolina, the Falcons will head to Bloomington, Indiana, to wrap up the tournament season from March 7 to 9.
On March 14, the Falcons began their MAC season with a series against the Buffalo Bulls.
The Falcon’s home opener falls on March 21, as the Kent State Golden Flashes come to town to take on the Falcons. Former Falcon Aaryolyn Nogay makes her return to Bowling Green for this series.
In the middle of the MAC season, the Falcons will head to Northern Illinois and Notre Dame University.
Later in the season, on April 25-26, the Falcons head up I-75 to take on their rival Toledo Rockets.
The Falcons finish their MAC season at home on April 29 against the University of Miami Redhawks.
To finish the season the Falcons finish their season on May 3 at home as they take on Robert Morris.
