BGSU baseball head coach Kyle Hallock will be inducted into the Kent State Varsity K Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2024, Kent State University announced on Friday afternoon.
Joining Hallock as part of the induction class will be Chris Baker (ice hockey, 1982-86), Dior Delophont (track & field, 2013-16), Eric Lauer (baseball, 2014-16), Eugene Jarvis (football, 2006-10), Ian Miller (wrestling, 2011-16), Jessica Carmichael (softball, 2008-11) and Josée Doyon (golf, 2012-16).
The inductees will be honored during the 45th induction ceremony on Feb. 1, 2025.
Hallock pitched for KSU from 2008-11, helping the Golden Flashes make three NCAA Tournament appearances and win two Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season championships.
He won MAC Pitcher of the Year and earned All-American Honors in 2011, ranking in the top 30 in the nation with 10 wins and a 1.95 earned run average (ERA).
Hallock, who the Philadelphia Phillies drafted out of high school, was also drafted in the 10th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros, reaching the AAA level of Minor League Baseball.
Hallock was the youngest head coach in the country during his first season at Bowling Green in 2021. Over his four seasons leading the Falcons, Hallock holds a 91-114 overall and 70-69 conference record.
He earned MAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Orange and Brown to a MAC Regular Season Championship and program-record 24 conference wins last season. Hallock is the only individual in MAC history named MAC Player of the Year and MAC Coach of the Year.
