Bowling Green football tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has been named a finalist for the John Mackey Award, given to the nation’s most outstanding tight end.
Fannin Jr. is the first ever Falcon to be named a Mackey Award finalist.
Fannin Jr., a junior from Canton, Ohio, currently leads the nation in receiving yards (1,295), is tied for second in receptions (92), and is only 58 yards away from setting the record for most receiving yards by a tight end in a single college season.
He is also the only tight end to be named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the nation’s top pass catcher.
The winner of the 2024 John Mackey Award will be announced on Dec. 12 during the Home Depot College Football Awards show.
