BGSU men’s soccer’s Trace Terry and Kyle Cusimano have been named United Soccer Coaches 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s All-Americans, with Cusimano being selected to the first team and Terry to the second team.
Cusimano, who is a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, earned Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Defender of the Year along with MVC All-First Team.
After five seasons with the Orange and Brown, Cusimano played 79 games (78 starts) and tallied 10 goals and 13 assists, plus serving as a team captain the last two years.
Terry is coming off a breakout year, where he was named to the MVC All-First Team and MVC’s All-Tournament Team, scoring 12 goals and adding five assists. He also earned back-to-back MVC Offensive Player of the Week.
The Bellbrook native was ranked the 16th player in the nation on the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 list.
Both Cusimano and Terry also received first-team honors to the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Team.
The 34 players receiving All-American recognition will be acknowledged at the United Soccer Coaches All-American Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Chicago.
Bowling Green finished their season with a 12-6-2 record and 4-3-1 in The Valley. Defeating UIC and Drake in the MVC Tournament before losing in overtime to Evansville in the championship match.
