BGSU women’s soccer announced six new signings via X and Instagram on Tuesday and Wednesday, which include three transfers and two Ohio natives.
After losing two players to the transfer portal and six to graduation after the 2024 season, the Falcons are retooling for 2025 with the first set of new recruits from head coach Chris Fox.
Gabby Lamparty: D/M – University of West Virginia
After reaching the NCAA Tournament as a reward for WVU’s first 12-win season since 2019, Lamparty decided to return to her home state of Ohio for the 2025 season.
The Canfield native saw over 500 minutes in 20 games played in 2024, making her first career start in a 2-0 victory over Robert Morris.
Lamparty has the versatility to play all over the pitch, coming from Internationals Soccer Club where she played both as an attacking midfielder and an outside back. The Falcons will be looking to Lamparty to immediately contribute to a Falcon team that had captains in both the defense and midfield graduate in 2024.
Isabella Mazzaferro: F – Niagara University
After a promising freshman season in 2023 that saw Mazzaferro earn seven points in over 1300 minutes in 2023, she truly broke out in 2024, becoming the keystone of the Purple Eagle offense with an 18-point, seven-goal season that saw her earn nearly 40% of the teams’ total points.
The Canadian started off the season by earning 15 points in the first eight games and six goals across five straight games, including a five-point performance against Mount St. Mary’s on September 7.
The versatile and dangerous forward is likely to be a needed boost to a Bowling Green offense that finished 8th out of 12 Mid-American Conference (MAC) teams with 21 goals in 2024.
Kendall Sears: GK – Xavier University
Sears will join the Falcons in 2025 after sitting out a 2024 season that was successful for the Musketeers, finishing second in the Big East with a 15-4-2 overall record.
The Cincinnati native played her club ball with Ohio Elite while starting on varsity for all four years at Reading High School, where she currently holds the school record for single-season and career shutouts.
Sears will likely compete with Payton O’Malley for the starting job in 2025, who started nine games as a freshman for the Falcons in 2024.
Olivia Schneider: D – Nationals SC
The Sterling Heights, Michigan-based center-back has been committed to Bowling Green since the fall of 2023, and she will be joining the squad in 2025 after playing for Nationals ECNL.
Schneider was the first of three new commits for Bowling Green and the only to come from the state up north.
After the departure of Isabelle Gilmore at the conclusion of the 2024 season, the Falcons will be looking for a new center back to take over, and Schneider will be in the race for that starting job in 2025.
Quinn O’Neill: F/M – Indy Premier United GA
BGSU landed the commitment of O’Neill as one of two Indy Premier players who will be joining the team, the other being Cadence Conrad who will join the team for the 2026 season.
Indy Premier United GA is the only Indiana member of the Girls Academy League, and O’Neill was one of four club players in the 2025 class to commit to playing Division 1 women’s soccer.
O’Neill is a key addition to what will be a young attacking and midfield core for the Falcons in 2025.
Mia Gatz: D – Indy Eleven Pro Academy
The Falcons added another defensive piece with the addition of Gatz to the 2025 roster, who played as a member of the Indy Eleven Pro Academy of the ECNL on top of her time with Guerin Catholic High School.
Gatz is a tremendous athlete and an aggressive defender who predominantly played left back with Indy Eleven but also played as a winger where she showed tremendous game IQ and awareness. Falcon fans will look for her aggressive passing mentality and her quickness when she takes the field in 2025.
