Bowling Green hockey is red hot right now, going undefeated in their last seven matchups. In their latest series against Bemidji State at home in the Slater Family Ice Arena the Falcons won the first game 4-3 and tied in the second 4-4, losing the shootout to the Beavers.
The win streak the BG squad is on right now will be tested again as the Falcons roll into Ferris State to face off against the Bulldogs for another CCHA two-game series.
As of right now the Orange and Brown are fourth in the CCHA standings with a conference record of 7-4-3, while Ferris State is 5-9-0 and eighth in the conference.
While the Falcons are on a winning streak, the Bulldogs are on a four-game losing streak. Despite their recent struggles, they are a conference matchup that the Falcons should not take lightly.
Ferris State has talented players on their lineup who will want nothing more than to end their straight losses at four.
In the last two-game series between these teams, Bowling Green won both of the matches in their first conference series of the season at the Slater Family Ice Arena.
The Falcons are 6-3-1 in the last 10 matchups against Ferris State, winning six straight times against the Bulldogs. When playing in Milwaukee taking on FSU the Falcons are 35-34-8.

Junior defensemen – #2 Travis Shoudy, Ferris State
Shoudy has 52 saves on the season for the Bulldogs, as well as eight points on three goals and five assists.
In Ferris State’s last series against St. Thomas, the defensemen were responsible for five points on two goals and three assists. In addition, he had 6 saves on the weekend.
Junior forward – #16 Caiden Gault, Ferris State
Gault has 12 total points on eight goals and four assists this season, scoring the most goals for the Bulldogs. He also has 49 assists on the year.
Last week against St. Thomas the forward helped to score two goals with two assists and had three saves throughout the two games as well.
Senior goaltender – #30 Christian Stoever, Bowling Green
Stoever won CCHA goaltender of the month in December, his first full month back after injury. He had a season-high 43 saves on Saturday (Jan. 11) last weekend against Bemidji State.
The goalie has 248 saves on the season, only allowing an average of 1.77 goals a game. He has maintained a save percentage of .947 while not losing a game while starting this season for the Falcons (5-0-2).
Junior forward – # Brett Pfoh, Bowling Green
Pfoh has continuously been a strong offensive threat for the Falcons, with 10 points on the season made up of four goals and six assists.
Last weekend the left winger had a goal and an assist for BG against Bemidji State to help the Falcons continue their hot streak.
