The last time the Orange and Brown won a game was 20 days ago, with a 79-61 victory vs Buffalo. Now, the Falcons rest in the 10th place in the MAC just above the Bulls (7-14, 2-7) and Northern Illinois (5-16,1-8).
Last time out, the Orange and Brown suffered a 90-71 loss in a must-win game against Central Michigan. Bowling Green shot 44.6% from the field, 29.2% from three, and turned the ball over 10 times.
The Falcons also allowed Central Michigan to shoot 40% from three-point range- a team that is currently averaging 31.6% from three this season.
Offensively, Bowling Green is averaging 75.1 points per game, their shooting percentages now stand at 44.0% from the field and 33.9% from three-point range.
Only two players scored double digits vs the Chippewas, with Trey Thomas scoring 15 and Javontae Campbell leading with 17 points.

It’s tough to say what could be the cause of the losing streak, as it is a collection of current issues- such as injuries and rebounding.
Starting with injuries- the Falcons are still without Youseff Khayat and Sam Towns, both are currently out indefinitely.
The Falcon’s rebounding has also been a struggle all season- BG averages 33.5 rebounds per game- placing them 10th in the conference in rebounding. Against Central Michigan, the Falcons were outrebounded 33-24.
Bowling Green’s schedule ahead of them has them facing Northern Illinois (Feb 4), Coastal Carolina (MAC-Sun Belt Challenge, Feb 8), Ohio (Feb 11), Ohio (Feb 14), and Buffalo (Feb 15).
Things aren’t completely dead in the water for the Falcons yet, they face the two teams below them in the standings- Buffalo and Northern Illinois (twice) in the final stretch of the season.
Bowling Green will face Northern Illinois tomorrow at the Stroh Center with tip-off at 7:00 p.m. Falcon Media Sports Network’s Tyler Kavalecz and Ben Corak will be on the call on Falcon Radio.
