BGSU men’s basketball senior guard Trey Thomas is set to miss the rest of the season with a broken leg, according to CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.
Thomas injured his leg during BGSU’s 91-84 loss to Kent State on Tuesday.
Head coach Todd Simon was not aware of the severity of the injury after the game, hoping Thomas would be available for the Toledo game on Friday.
“Hopefully Trey will be, you know, upright for [the Toledo game]. That’s our number one concern,” Simon said after the loss.
Thomas has started all 26 games this season, averaging 11.2 points per game. After transferring to BG from Vanderbilt, Thomas scored a career-high 11.5 points per game last year.
