This past Sunday, the BGSU women’s tennis team (6-3) traveled out west to the University of Chicago to compete against the Flames (4-2) at the Homewood Flossmoor Racquet & Fitness Club.
To say it was a hard day for the Orange and Brown would be a big understatement, as they were completely outmatched in both the singles and doubles.
The matchup was filled with hard-fought battles from the Falcons, which ended up forcing a third set in No. 2, No.3, and No.5 singles after their loss in the first set. In the No. 3 singles, sophomore Qianyu Liu picked up a point for the Falcons with a score of 3-6, 6-1, and 7-6 when she defeated Camille Belberka.
The Falcons will look to reset and get themselves back in the win column, as their next matchup takes place on Friday, Feb. 28, against the University of Northwestern Ohio at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. The match is set for 1:00 p.m.
