Bowling Green head football coach Scot Loeffler is headed back to the NFL.
The team announced Friday morning via X that he has accepted a position on Nick Sirianni’s staff with the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, where he will serve as the quarterbacks coach.
Loeffler, who spent six years at the helm of BG, led the Falcons to three straight bowl appearances from 2022-24, compiling a record of 27-41 (20-25 in the Mid-American Conference), helping engineer a turnaround of one of the worst programs in Division I football.
Previously, he served as the Detroit Lions’ quarterbacks coach in 2008.
The move opens a 30-day window for any Bowling Green football player to jump onto the transfer portal.
BGSU has begun a nationwide search for its next head man, effective immediately.
