Today, BGSU men’s soccer announced the signing of Brazilian defender Caio Tascheto to their 2025 roster.
Tascheto joins Bowling Green after spending the 2024 season at Newman University, where he played 17 games (15 starts), scoring two goals and two assists. After his only season with the Jets, he was named to the 2024 All-GAC/MIAA Men’s Second Team.
In his junior year, the Brazilian played nine games for Xavier University of Louisiana, which is played under newly hired assistant coach Gonzalo Carranza. In his sophomore season, he played at NJCAA’s Arizona Western, appearing in 19 games (17 starts) scoring one goal and providing an assist.
Back in 2021, his freshman season, Tascheto played at the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio. appearing in 10 games, starting six as a freshman for the Racers.
Tascheto, is the second transfer defender for Bowling Green, along with junior defender Tim Koczulap, who came over from Robert Morris.
