This weekend, BGSU women’s golf team finished first out of seven teams in the BG-hosted Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
The Orange and Brown notched their first tournament win of the season and fifth top-five finish as a team. The Falcons led all teams with 22 birdies and 109 pars.
The win also gives the Falcons their second first-place finish of the season. It also marks their first win at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational since the 2021-22 season.
BG finished +18 with a score of 586, beating out Central Michigan, Loyola-Chicago, Oakland, Western Michigan, the BG (B) team, and Niagara. The Falcons finished 17 strokes below Central Mich., the second-place finisher.
Three Falcon golfers finished in the top 10: Sammie Dolce (2nd); Ava O’Sullivan (4th); and Macie Elzinga (6th).
In the first and second round, Bowling Greed tallied the two lowest team round scores with a +8 and +10 respectively.
