Former Notre Dame, Arizona State and Missouri quarterback Drew Pyne has committed to Bowling Green, ESPN’s Pete Thamel announced Monday morning.
BG will mark his fourth school in four years.
Pyne, a native of New Canaan, Connecticut, spent three seasons at Notre Dame, earning his first and only starting role in 2022.
That season, he completed 164 of his 254 pass attempts for 2,021 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions, leading the Fighting Irish to an 8-2 record in his 10 starts, including a 24-21 upset victory over the AP #4 Clemson Tigers.
In 2024, he appeared in six games for Mizzou, throwing for 391 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions on 49-of-82 passing.
Coming out of New Canaan High School in 2020, Pyne was rated a four-star prospect and the eighth best quarterback in the class by 247Sports. He held offers from Notre Dame, Alabama, Michigan, LSU and Miami (FL), among others.
When asked about the decision, Pyne said, ““The opportunity to go play for Eddie George, a returning offensive line that’s strong and experienced. And a program that’s very good, played in three-straight bowl games and can compete for a championship.”
Pyne will have two years of eligibility remaining.
