The Buffalo Bulls (13-4 in the MAC) guard, Dyaisha Fair was given honors as the Mid-American Conference’s women’s basketball player of the week. The junior out of Rochester, NY had easily the best week of the entire MAC, as she averaged 33.5 points in the teams two games.
When the Bulls played against Ball State (9-7), Fair led the game in scoring as Buffalo won the game, 67-62. Fair just fell short of a double-double. She had a whopping 31 points, while coming down with 9 rebounds. With Buffalo only winning the game by 5 points, Fair has to be given a lot of credit for the win.
In their next game, this time against Miami (4-13), Fair again led the game in scoring. The Bulls won this game against the Redhawks by a larger margin, 83-71. Fair outdid her performance in the last game as far as scoring with 36 points. She also had 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and she added 4 steals as well in that game.
Fair’s 23.8 points per game is currently good for 5th in the nation. She and the Bulls will take on the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday as she looks to continue her hot stretch of play.
