Students and faculty attended the 25th Annual Reddin Symposium at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Union Theater.
The Symposium, “Canada By Design,” hosted speaker Dave Mason, a Canadian designer who now lives in the United States.
Mason spoke on how he looks at everything, including Canada, with a “designer’s eye.” Mason, who was born in England, moved to Canada at the age of eight.
“I quickly learned to lose my accent and redesign myself,” Mason said during the symposium.
Mason’s presentation covered his personal life and how he became a designer, as well as how Canada came to be through design.
“This year’s Reddin Symposium marks the first time the event has switched structure in 25 years,” said Mark Reddin, Bowling Green municipal court judge at the symposium. The symposium was formerly hosted at the University in January on a Saturday each year.
