Four male juveniles have been identified as having been involved in the racial chalk graffiti incident that occurred between Saturday night and Sunday morning on the driveway of a Pine Valley Drive home, according to a press release from the Bowling Green Police Division. The Home is the residence of BG Men’s Basketball Coach, Louis Orr.
Police received a tip Tuesday and were able to locate one of the juveniles, which later led to the identification of the other three, said Lt. Brad Biller, public information officer for the police division.
The juveniles told police in a statement that the graffiti was intended as a prank on one of their classmates who also lived at the residence, according to the press release.
Police are working with the Wood County Prosecutors Office “in the interest of prosecution of the involved juveniles,” according to the press release.
Police are still investigating the incident regarding damage to a vehicle and a racially offensive note that occurred on Monday afternoon in the 200 block of E. Merry Ave., Biller said.
As of now, there is nothing indicating that the two incidents are related, but it hasn’t been ruled out, he said.
“Right now were just trying to identify the people involved,” Biller said.
