Falcon Radio
Falcon Radio is BG Falcon Media’s streaming-only radio station, broadcasting 24/7 out of the Falcon Radio Studio in the Michael & Sara Kuhlin Center. You can listen by clicking on the player at the top of every page on our website.
ANY student can host their own radio show and/or podcast after a brief (20 minutes or less) training session. Students can play ANY music they want and talk about ANY topic they like (within reason). Interested? Drop us an email to get trained and on the air.
Falcon Radio generally plays modern hits but we have special programming each month and genre-based shows each week:
- September – “Tailgate Tunes” – Upbeat Country music
- Rocktober – Classis Rock from the 60s & 70s & 80s
- Nineties November – Throwback hits from the 1990s
- December – Rockin’ Christmas
- Jammin’ January – Music from the Jam scene
- February – “Heart Beats” – Dance Music
- March Sadness – Emo Music
- Gaypril – LGBTQIA+ Playlist, Dancing for Diversity
Our weekly shows happen from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.:
- Monday – Kickin’ Kountry (country hits)
- Tuesday – Vintage Rock (rock n roll from the 60s, 70s and 80s)
- Wednesday – Flannel Falcons (90s alternative music)
- Thursday – Pride Rock (LGBTQIA+ Friendly music)
- Friday – Queue It Up (Current and future Falcon requests) Make your request here
