The University Activities Organization officially announced that Anderson Arena will be Run’s house on May 5th. UAO will present the ‘Pre-Exam Jam’ featuring Run DMC and The Roots. Tickets for the event will be on sale Monday at Saddlemire, from 9 pm to 2 am and are priced at $12.
‘We wanted to bring in a more diverse type of show,’ said Matt LaRiccia, UAO Concert Director. According to LaRiccia plans for a hip- hop concert have been in the works since last year when they brought in Bush and Moby.
‘We wanted to do a show that was positive towards hip-hop,’ LaRiccia said, adding later that ‘A lot of people who go to Bowling Green aren’t exposed to this kind of stuff.’
UAO hopes that the ticket sales will go as smoothly as O.A.R’s did on their first day of sales last March. On that day U.A.O. sold 2,300 tickets in the first half hour.
