UT, BGSU team up to solve problems – BG News Briefing

BGSU’s Center for Regional Development and the University of Toledo’s Urban Affairs Center will enter into a formal partnership today to help find solutions to challenges facing the region.

The Urban Affairs Center’s mission is to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life in metropolitan Toledo, while BGSU’s Center for Regional Development focuses on community and regional economic, social, cultural and environmental resource development.

A “memorandum of collaboration” will be signed today at 3 p.m. in 113 South Hall.

Participants will include Dr. Neil Reid, interim director of UT’s Urban Affairs Center; Dr. Michael C. Carroll, director of the Center for Regional Development; Dr. Heinz Bulmahn, vice provost for research and dean of the Graduate College at BGSU, and Dr. Frank Calzonetti, vice provost for research and economic development at the University of Toledo.
