The University’s alumni association and the Rossford PTO are working with campus and city police after a combined $50,000 was reported stolen last week. Roughly $20,000 is reportedly missing from the BGSU’s alumni association, while $30,000 was said to be missing from the Glenwood Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization. Though University spokeswoman Teri Sharp confirmed that campus and Rossford police are working together on the investigation, further details wouldn’t be made public until the police had completed their investigation, Sharp said. Results will be turned over to the Wood County Prosecutor, where the stolen money would result in a fourth-degree felony, which could be punished by a $5,000 fine and up to 18 months in jail.
