Buffet kicks off Black History Month
The Black Student Union is kicking off Black History Month with tunes, treats and trivia. Monday, Feb. 5, a luncheon will be held in 202A Union.
“It’s a buffet type thing for anyone who wants to come,” said Chanel Griffith, president of the Black Student Union.
The menu features a variety of food. Everything from chicken and macaroni and cheese to cake, Griffith said.
The event will dive right into February with plenty of facts about Black History Month.
“There will be different power point (presentations) about Black History Month,” Griffith said.
While indulging in food and facts, students can also listen to music, including a special piano performance.
Griffith said tickets are not required for the event and encouraged both faculty and students to attend.
