City council discusses construction

-Public Works Director Brian Craft announced the paving on East Merry Street will begin next Thursday. Once it is finished, construction projects will be finished on East Merry Street.

-Municipal Administrator John Fawcett informed council of a recent Ohio law requiring members to receive public records training before their next term. This training will take place at Owens Community College.

-Mayor John Quinn reminded council and community members to read “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls. Quinn encouraged the community to read and attend a free lecture sponsored by the BGExperience program to be held on Oct. 24 in the Union Ballroom. Walls will speak at the 7 p.m. event. A book signing will follow.
