Women’s soccer team swept in California

The weekend wasn’t all sunshine and smiles for the BG women’s soccer team. The Falcons flew to California to play in a mini-tournament held at UC-Riverside.

‘It was a great learning experience,’ said coach Andy Richards. ‘UC-Irvine is ranked regionally.’

BG lost 2-0 Friday night against UC-Riverside, and 2-0 yesterday against UC-Irvine. ‘They were better teams to be fair,’ Richards said.

The Falcons will recuperate and get ready to head out on the road for another weekend of games with Northern Illinois Friday and Western Michigan Sunday.
