Students are invited to participate in self-care with the Bowling Green State University Partners in Achieving Wellness for students during finals week.
The lounges will be staffed with registered therapy dogs as well as free self-care kits for participants to take. Three opportunities are available to students to attend at their availability.
The first opportunity begins on Monday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the second on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and final opportunity on Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Jerome Library.
Students will have the opportunity to see Benny and his handler Carol Treece at some of these events.
“I enjoy sharing Benny with everyone, along with my love of the breed. It’s special being part of a team that enjoys the same love of animals and volunteering. Benny makes people smile and in return he receives much love,” Treece said.
The BGSU PAWS team is a group of campus and community volunteers partnered with certified therapy dogs in partnership with Wellness Connection.
Finals self-care with the PAWS Team will be followed by three more events for the organization before campus begins Winter Break.
