The BGSU Department of Theatre and Film will present “She Kills Monsters” on Thursday, Nov. 17, hosting their first of five performances throughout the week in the Donnell Theatre in Wolfe Center for the Arts.
The dramatic comedy, published by Qui Nguyen, explores the story of a young child in Athens, Ohio who is learning to deal with the death of family members. The play explores themes of youth, family relationships and grief through a comedic lens, with quite a few references to the 1990s.
Showings will be taking place on Nov. 17, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. with additional matinees taking place both on Nov. 19 and 20 at 2 p.m. Those attending should park in Lot N on BGSU’s campus.
The play is directed by BGSU doctoral program student Mahmoud Abusultan, who researches Palestinian theatre and performance culture.
