Former four-star quarterback and Dayton native Connor Bazelak has announced his commitment to Bowling Green with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The redshirt junior attended Archbishop Alter High School in Dayton, where he threw for more than 1,500 yards in his senior season. He was ranked as the 22nd-best player in Ohio in 2019 by 247Sports.

According to the Dayton Daily News, he chose to play at the University of Missouri over other offers such as Georgia, North Carolina State, and Purdue.

He played in 24 games across three seasons for the Tigers, passing for just over 5,000 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding two more scores on the ground. He also threw 17 interceptions in that span.

In 2020, he was named the SEC’s Co-Freshman of the Year, throwing 2,366 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions across 10 games.

Before the 2022 season, Bazelak transferred to the University of Indiana, where he threw for 2,300 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 10 games.

He was named the starter to begin the season, leading the Hoosiers to a 3-0 start, with wins over Illinois, Idaho, and Western Kentucky.

The offense averaged 30.3 points per game in that stretch, and Bazelak threw for 891 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions in those games.
