BGSU Track & Field tie program’s best finish at MAC Championship

Bowling Green Track and Field competed in the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championship this Saturday.

The Falcons finished in third place, which tied for their best MAC Championship finish since 1999.

For the running events, senior Jemeila Hunter finished in sixth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.66.

In the Mile,  senior Katerina Schuble was the MAC runner-up finishing with a time of 4:54.13. Also placing in the mile was senior, Kailee Perry finishing with a 4:58.78.

The DMR team was MAC champions, finishing with a final time of 11:30 which was the second-best time in school history.

Bowling Green saw great success in their field events, scoring lots of points for the team and having eight people finish in the top ten.

Some notable finishes for the Falcons was senior Brianna Richard placing first in the triple jump with a final jump of 41-8.75.

In the shot put, senior Zaresha Neil placed first in the shot put with a throw of 55-9.00.

Also placing in the shot put were seniors Ebbonie Whitted and Reagan Emberton finishing in fourth and sixth place.

Junior Katherine Mendenhall was also a MAC runner-up in the high jump.

Overall, Bowling Green had a great day at the MAC Track and Field Championships, having lots of people PR and performing well in their events.
