The Bowling Green baseball team fell 6-2 to the Miami RedHawks on Sunday.

The Falcons entered game three on a five-game winning streak, the last two being against Miami.

The RedHawks wasted no time getting started in game two.

A few Falcon errors led Miami to cross the plate first with a 1-0 lead.

In the bottom half of the second, BG senior Nathan Rose led things off with a single up the middle.

A few batters later, outfielder Adam Fallon homered to left center giving the Falcons the one-run lead.

It was Fallon’s third homer of the year.

But it was all RedHawks after that.

Miami tied it up 2-2 with an RBI single in the top of the 3rd.

A few short innings later, Miami broke the tie with a first-pitch home run, making it 3-2 in the fifth.

That led to a big seventh inning for the RedHawks, putting up three runs on three hits.

In the bottom of the ninth, senior Nathan Rose added to his day with a double to the left field wall.

However, the Falcons couldn’t drive him in as a fly ball to right field ended the game by a score of 6-2 in favor of Miami.

Junior Isaiah Seidel was cited for the loss, pitching 2.1 innings and giving up three hits for one run.

The Falcons fall to 8-13 overall on the year and 4-5 in MAC play.

Bowling Green is back in action on Tuesday as the Falcons take on Purdue Fort Wayne. First pitch will be at 3:00 P.M.
