The Mid-American and Sun-Belt Conferences have announced the initial matchups for the inaugural MAC-SBC Challenge set to begin with the 2023-2024 season. The MAC-SBC challenge is a partnership for both men’s and women’s basketball that will have two matchups during the upcoming season. The first pairings will take place during the first week of the basketball season November 8-12. Both programs will be guaranteed a home and away contest with the MAC men and SBC women hosting the first rounds and vice-versa for the second matchups in February.

The BGSU men’s basketball program will host Arkansas State at the Stroh Center on November 11 with the women’s basketball team traveling to San Marcos, Texas to take on the Texas State Bobcats.

The second round opponents for the MAC-SBC Challenge will be announced in January based on the active NET rankings in effort to create the best pairings for the February matchup.
