The journalism and storytelling camp provided high school students with hands-on experience.

Falcon Media students and advisors led a journalism and storytelling camp this week, providing high school students with journalism training and hands-on content creation experience.

The students interviewed coaches for the BGSU women’s soccer team at the beginning of the week and used the content they captured to create written stories as well as audio pieces and packages made for television news broadcasts. The students developed and leveraged journalistic skills as well as enhancing their ability to work with web-based content management systems and audio and video tools, taking advantage of the abundant resources available in the Michael and Sara Kuhlin Center.

Camp leaders included Falcon Media Manager Karl Smith, BG24 advisor Jasmine Crighton, Falcon Radio and WBGU-FM advisor Phil Beskid and Falcon Media Executive Content Director Brandon Loe.
