It was a hard fought battle- point for point, set for set.
But in the end, it was the scarlet and grey who got the last laugh.
The #14 Ohio State Buckeyes overcame a two sets to one deficit and found a way to pull out a five set win over Bowling Green on Saturday.
The Buckeyes started off the match by winning the first set, 25-20. But the Falcons took control in sets two and three, winning 25-15 and 25-23 respectively.
However, OSU took control from there on, outscoring BGSU 40-23 in the last two sets (25-16, 15-7), to seal the deal and improve to 2-0.
Despite the loss, the Falcons received another solid performance from freshman Amanda Otten, who ended the match with 23 assists, 14 kills, and nine aces, just one away from a triple-double in only her second collegiate match.
Kat Mandly led the way in kills for the orange and brown with 15, along with 10 digs, for her first double-double of the season.
For the Buckeyes, Emily Londot led the way with 26 kills, while Mia Tuman racked up 55 assists and 14 digs.
Next up for the Falcons is the tournament finale for the NKU Volleyball Invitational on Sunday, when the orange and brown face the Northern Kentucky Norses. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m.
