As the month of September is in it’s final days, the beginning of MACtion is here, as the teams within the conference have gotten the chance to introduce themselves to each other.
For some, this is a chance to be confident in their chances after a rough non-conference slate, while for others, it’s all about maintaining a gap from the rest of the field.

After having three Falcons last week (Jessica Andrews, Amanda Otten, Jaden Walz), sophomore Lauryn Hovey and freshman Benedetta Marcon took home MAC East Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week respectively. Hovey had 38 kills split across two matches against Northern Illinois, while Marcon recorded 39 digs in the two matches combined.
- A pair of Toledo Rockets cracked the MAC West Players of the Week award list for the first time this season. Meanwhile, Ryann Jaqua earned MAC West Defensive Player of the Week, averaging 6.88 digs/set last week, while racking up a season-high 28 digs in Toledo’s win on Thursday.
