Bowling Green traveled to Motor City, to start their three-game road stand, looking for their first road win of the season.
Detroit Mercy came into tonight’s match on a three-game winning streak, looking for their fourth win in a row.
Nothing could separate the Falcons and the Titans in the first 45’. BG outshot the Detroit Mercy five to three in the first half.
The Falcon’s best chance in the second half came from sophomore midfielder Andrew Shaffer in the 57’ but was parried away by Titans keeper’ Quinn Tews.
Both teams couldn’t find the back of the net on the night, resulting in the second scoreless draw this season for the Falcons.
The Orange and Brown outshot the Titans 11-10 in the match, with one more shot on goal as well, three to two.
Senior goal-keeper Brendan Graves only had to make two saves on the night.
The biggest story to come out of tonight’s match was the return of senior captain defender Kyle Cusimano, who missed the last six games due to injury.
The Falcons will continue on the road this Saturday for a big match against the Big Ten’s Maryland, hoping for their road win of the season. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
