The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced an investment of nearly $333,000 to support BGSU in its efforts to create an ecosystem to transform smart manufacturing curriculum and training by engaging industry professionals in work-related learning modules and hands-on activities.
The University was one of 11 grant recipients out of 90 applicants. A total of $4.5 million was given nationwide.
The goal of the project is to support graduates and technicians with courses, certifications, and badges. The program will also help create pathways to local industry jobs and align with local workforce needs.
