BGSU Football’s Davon Ferguson has been named a semi-finalist for College Football’s Comeback Player of the Year Award.
The award is voted on by the Associated Press, College Sports Communications, and the Fiesta Bowl Organization, and is given out to college football student-athletes who have overcome injury, illness, or any other circumstances.
Ferguson is enjoying a bounce back season following a season-ending injury suffered against Eastern Kentucky in week two of the 2022 season, setting career highs in sacks (2.5), interceptions (2), and passes defended (8), and has been a key member of the Falcons’ NCAA-leading turnover defense.
Other semi-finalists include Michigan running back Blake Corum, Kentucky quarterback Devin Leary, and Virginia running back Mike Hollins.
