Planetarium to teach about dark matter

The BGSU Planetarium is hosting multiple sessions where guests can learn about a puzzling aspect of the universe – dark matter.

Phantom of the Universe – The Hunt for Dark Matter is being held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1 at the BGSU Planetarium. Several other dates are available through mid-March.

The showing explores questions surrounding dark matter and showcases scientific explorations of the nature of the matter.

Organizers say the full dome video is suitable for those 13-years-old and above. They suggest a $1 donation for those who attend.

Parking will be available for attendees in BGSU’s Lot H or Lot Y on campus.

Previous Work

Pierce has reported for BG Falcon Media and specifically written articles for the weekly BG News. Pierce's favorite article reported for BG Falcon Media was on the increase of Electric Vehicles in the Bowling Green community. The article can be found here. He also completed a promotions internship with BG Falcon Radio, organizing events and campaigns to spread awareness of the organization on campus. Pierce currently works with WTVG-TV, beginning in the Summer of 2023 as a Digital Content Producer. Some of his work with the organization can be found here.
