BGSU is hosting a weekly speaker series ahead of the highly-anticipated April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse.
The program will run through April 4 and features BGSU researchers and experts sharing their knowledge on a multitude of subjects surrounding solar eclipses.
Bowling Green is projected to be in the path of totality for the April 8 eclipse, offering a unique viewing experience for the rare event. University officials canceled classes for the day in anticipation of the rare event.
To celebrate the event, BGSU will hold a large-scale watch party from 1–4:30 p.m. at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. Free eclipse glasses will be provided at the event which offers a variety of activities, including telescope viewings.
