BGSU’s marketing manager was arrested Sunday for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief while trying to break into people’s cars while intoxicated, Bowling Green Police say.
Officials say that Michael Bratton, 32, was seen wandering through the parking lot attempting to pull the door handles of several cars, setting off several car alarms. Details from BGPD say that a victim says they attempted to set off their car’s panic alarm after seeing Bratton, but resorted to confronting him.
Police said when they approached Bratton that they could smell alcohol, he had slurred speech and difficulty forming sentences. Bratton also reportedly denied attempting to open car doors.
BGPD say that Bratton was unable to provide a sober ride or provide a location for his vehicle in the lot, and was taken to Wood County Jail.
BG Falcon Media reached out to Senior Director of Executive Communications and University Spokesperson Colleen Rerucha, who could not provide a comment.
