The City of Bowling Green announced a partnership with StreetScan to assess city sidewalk conditions.
According to a press release, StreetScan has assessed streets in more than 280 communities in North America. Beginning Monday, May 6, students and residents may notice scooters marked “StreetScan” along sidewalks throughout the City. The release states “StreetScan employs scooter-mounted sensing technologies to assess the sidewalk conditions.”
The StreetScan system identifies defects including tripping hazards and cracking, which the city will use to prioritize repair needs.
