The City of Bowling Green Bicycle Safety Commission announced Tom Sockman as the 2024 Bicycle Spokesperson of the Year. Sockman is a near daily cyclist, who has been riding his bicycle for more than 70 years, beginning with his first paper route in Downtown Bowling Green.
He practices and promotes safe riding in the city.
CycleWerks, awarded this year’s Bicycle Spokesperson provided a $50 gift certificate as part of his recognition.
