As many Ohioans enjoy a relaxing day off for Labor Day, cities across northwest Ohio are gearing up to honor the region’s workers. This year’s festivities include a variety of events designed to bring communities together, showcasing local pride and the spirit of Ohio’s workforce.
The Toledo Mudhens will host a Labor Day Picnic at Fifth Third Field at 4:05 p.m. before their game on Sept. 2 against the Indianapolis Indians. The National Museum of the Great Lakes in Toledo will also offer free admission to active and retired union members to celebrate their contributions to the city.
In Findlay, the Hancock County Fair is offering free admission to the public on Labor Day. There, guests can enjoy their day off with food, rides and 4-H showcases from people across Hancock County.
Locally, BG Cruise Night will still be hosting their weekly fall cruise outside of Pagliai’s Pizza on Labor Day from 5:00-7:30 p.m. The free event is expected to attract over 70 vintage vehicles, and food will be sold from Pagliai’s Pizza throughout the event.
